Stunning picture of a Kakapo. You can really see how it has evolved colouration that perfectly matches its habitat and allows it to blend in. The greens of the fern, the browns of the moss.
Very cool. I imagine future artists painting with specially prepared pigments to create living art. And using GM bacteria to create glowing/colour changing/fragrant living art!
This is pretty cool but do we really need to be making more things out of plastic?
